Sandra “Sam” Irwin, RNFA, CNOR, has over 30 years of operating room experience. She graduated from Lakeland College in Ohio and received her operating room training at the respected University Hospitals in Cleveland. She moved to Florida in 1983 and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital as part of their Operating Room Trauma Team. She became a Board Certified Operating Room Nurse and completed her Advanced Perioperative RN First Assistant training in 1992 with Professional Assistants PRN. In 2000, she moved to Jupiter Medical Center and became the Neuro Coordinator, where she managed all of the spine and brain surgeries. In 2001, she was nominated and recognized by the Palm Health Foundation as one of the outstanding health professionals in Palm Beach County. In 2010, she joined Dr. David Campbell as a Surgical First Assistant. Having worked with Dr. Campbell at St. Mary’s Hospital and Jupiter Medical Center over the previous twenty years had given her great respect for his knowledge and skills. Sam has been married for 38 years and is the mother of three successful young adults.
