S. Raymond Golish, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Raymond Golish comes to David Campbell MDPA Spine Center from St. John Medical Center in Longview, Wash., where he served as lead spine surgeon and director of orthopaedic surgery and developed the hospital’s first-ever service line for spinal surgery.
In that role, Dr. Golish was responsible for all clinical aspects of personnel management, surgical practice, quality care and capital acquisition for a spinal surgery program that addressed and treated all diseases and conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
Dr. Golish performs general orthopaedic surgical procedures, including arthroscopic, peripheral nerve and fracture surgery.
In addition to his orthopaedic spine surgery practice at David Campbell MDPA, Dr. Golish is a PhD scientist specializing in information technology and biomedical engineering with research interests in image-guided surgery, biomedical devices, biomaterials and statistics.
He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed articles, chapters, proceedings and abstracts, and his achievements and awards include the 2002 Dimitris N. Chorafas Award for innovative and high-level research and full academic scholarships from the National Institutes of Health while pursuing his medical and doctorate degrees at UCLA.
Dr. Golish is a member of numerous boards, academies and professional associations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society and the American Society for Testing of Materials.
Dr. Golish performed his surgical residency at University of Virginia’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and served as a clinical spine surgery instructor at Stanford University’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
In addition to Florida, Dr. Golish is licensed to practice in Washington, California, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
